Nature Watercolor & Gouache Painting (Session 3)

Girdwood Arts Council presents a 3 session Nature Watercolor & Gouache Painting series with Amanda Faith Thompson.
In this workshop, participants will learn foundational and intermediate techniques in watercolor and gouache, deepen observational skills, and appreciation of nature through art.
Session 1: Observation and Inspiration from Nature
Session 2: Layering Color and Expression
Session 3: Final Painting and Community Sharing

About the artist/instructor:
Art educator and painter Amanda Faith Thompson has led evening workshops in Girdwood since 2020. She is an Alaskan-certified teacher who holds a BA in Art and a Master’s in Secondary Teaching with an Art Teaching Endorsement. She keeps her landscape and wildlife representational painting practice growing with local art showings, study trips abroad, and residencies.
Materials will be provided, but people may bring their own supplies.
