Cultural Campaign: We will foster a lively and inclusive arts community, establishing Girdwood as a hub for diverse artistic expression, building on and empowering the abundant talent and creativity across Alaska.

Capital Campaign: Construct and operate an outstanding, comprehensive art facility in Girdwood that is an invaluable local asset and a renowned destination for art and workshops. This facility will provide spaces for a staffed gallery, workshops, teaching, and studio tools for wood, glass, metal, and other specialties.

To Girdwood: 

• Work cooperatively to enhance the spectrum of arts in the community
• Increase usable art spaces, outreach, workshops, and more (work to obtain a major art facility in Girdwood)
• Recognize Girdwood’s natural beauty
• Promote local art education opportunities; embrace the broad spectrum of arts 
• Improve opportunities for local artists to earn income from their art

To Anchorage:

• Recognize the Anchorage art community, and invite them to participate and benefit from Girdwood’s offerings
• Promote synergy between Anchorage artists, galleries, organizations, camps, schools and universities
• Help encourage Girdwood art-enhanced events to improve quality of life for Anchorage residents

To Alaska:

• Welcome visitors from around the world who want to experience Alaska’s art
• Honor Alaska’s art history which goes back thousands of years
• Embrace the many artists throughout Alaska who have ties to Girdwood
• Enhance Alaska as a destination for art tourism
